My Story

I have always been a creative person. From a young age I was interested in home décor, so my decision to study interior decorating (NSC) came naturally when exploring career path options. While studying, my passion for interior decorating grew. My aim on graduating was to gain as much knowledge and experience in the decorating field as possible.

I started my career working at Biggie Best and the Four Poster part time as a sales consultant.

When an opportunity arose at James Russell agencies - a fabric agency representing The Silk & Cotton company, Tessa Sonik, Anne Colle and various other leading fabric houses, I grabbed it! Working as a showroom consultant and administrator, and assembling fabric schemes with top Cape Town decorators and designers for their clients was amazing. I completed another part time decorating course during my time with the company and gained valuable experience working with quality imported fabrics.

My next step was into a branch manager role at Granny Goose Duvets, where I learnt about quality bedding and down products. Interacting closely with clients and staff revealed to me how important upholding brilliant customer service is.

I rounded up my time in industry as a showroom consultant at Kenzan Tiles, where working with stunning imported tiles and mosaics taught me about quality flooring and the aspects to consider when choosing tiles and mosaics.

Working for these leaders in the trade has equipped me to offer my clients valuable information about the items that make up an interior of the highest standard and has enabled me to make informed decisions my clients can trust.

I became a mommy in 2012 and placed my business dreams on hold to raise my daughter full time. Talented photographer Heidi of Portraiture by Heidi did our daughters newborn shoot and later approached me to do styling for family photo shoots part time. So we joined forces and offered clients styled shoots which was great fun!

In 2015, I decided to pursue my dream and focus on growing my business trading under my own name, offering interior decorating and set styling.

I am extremely excited for the future and truly blessed to be living out my dream!
